This payment addresses underpayment issues for work completed between 2015 and 2020, not for the unlawful termination of the contract.
According to a source from West Blue, this settlement was confirmed in a consent judgment filed on July 10, 2024, and adopted by the court.
The company had previously filed a suit in Accra High Court on November 14, 2024, seeking GH¢289 million in outstanding fees due to underpayment.

West Blue’s contract with the government involved a fixed percentage fee on the CIF value of import consignments entering Ghana. However, the government failed to pay the full amount from 2015 to 2020.
Negotiations between the government’s team and West Blue resulted in a settlement of GH¢95 million, which the company agreed to accept in place of the original claim of GH¢289 million.
This amount has been agreed upon as full and final settlement of West Blue’s claims.
