Rema grew up in Benin City, Edo State in a Christian family where he completed both his primary and secondary school education with a certificate from the West African Senior School Certificate.
While in school, Rema created his own live band where he was discovered by D’Prince, the Chief Executive officer of Jonzingworls Records.
