Reggaeton star Don Omar has revealed that he is currently battling cancer. The 46-year-old Puerto Rican singer announced via an Instagram post on Monday, sharing a photo that appears to show him wearing a hospital bracelet.

In the caption, written in Spanish, Omar optimistically stated that “tomorrow” he will be cancer-free. However, he did not disclose any specifics about the type of cancer he is fighting or the treatment he is undergoing.

Despite his health struggles, Don Omar, whose real name is William Omar Landron Rivera, remains committed to his music career. He completed the first leg of his “Back To Reggaeton” tour across the United States and Canada in April and is scheduled to begin the second leg in August. In preparation for these upcoming shows, he recently posted a video clip on Instagram of himself auditioning dancers.
Don Omar rose to prominence in the early 2000s and has since released eight studio albums. His contributions to reggaeton have been widely recognized, earning him 13 Latin Grammy Award nominations and two wins.
