Red Robinson, a well-known radio host and disc jockey from Canada, has away tragically at the age of 86. On March 30, 1937, Red Robinson was born in Comox, British Columbia, Canada.

At the age of barely 17, Robinson started his broadcasting career in Vancouver in 1954.

Red Robinson immediately rose to prominence as a radio host in the area and eventually took over as show host. During the 1950s and 1960s, Robinson had a significant role in promoting rock & roll music in Canada.

Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly, and The Beatles were just a few of the well-known rock and roll performers who performed at several concerts and shows sponsored by Red Robinson.

Gordon Robinson and Alice Surgenor gave birth to Red Robinson. Robinson was one of the first DJs to play rock and roll music on the radio in North America.

Robinson worked as a sports pundit in addition to being a radio host and promoter.

He gave play-by-play commentary for the Vancouver Canucks hockey team as well as the Vancouver Mounties minor league baseball team.
