The Global CEO, Kris Licht, visited Africa, meeting with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and marking the 44th anniversary of Reckitt’s Agbara Factory on May 29, 2024.

The event saw the attendance of notable figures, including the Deputy Governor of Ogun State, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele, who represented Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun, HRH Oba Lukman Agunbiade, the Alagbara of Agbara, and other key stakeholders.

This celebration highlighted the factory’s impact on public health in Nigeria and West Africa.

The Deputy Governor inaugurated the new Jik Sachet production line, showcasing Reckitt’s commitment to providing accessible hygiene solutions for Nigerian households.

Since its inception in 1980, the Agbara Factory has produced essential brands like Dettol, Harpic, Jik, and Mortein, contributing to a cleaner, healthier world.

During her speech, Deputy Governor Salako-Oyedele expressed pride in Reckitt’s role in job creation, innovation, and improving citizens’ well-being.

She emphasized the state’s confidence in the partnership’s future, aiming for sustainable development and economic growth.

Kris Licht praised the Agbara team for their dedication and high-quality products that benefit both business and community.

He shared his positive experience visiting a public school where Reckitt’s hygiene program teaches children about cleanliness and safety.
