Carlo Ancelotti in a interview expressed his dissatisfaction with the compensation FIFA proposed for the revamped 32-team tournament, stating that the financial offer undervalued the 15-time Champions League winners.
Despite this, Real Madrid as a club has issued a statement to reaffirm their commitment to the tournament.

Real Madrid’s statement reads: “Our club will take part, as planned, in this official competition which we face with pride and with the utmost enthusiasm to once again make our millions of fans all over the world dream of a new title.”
