Queen Wokoma Criticised Over Outfit Worn to Junior Pope’s Funeral

Nollywood actress Queen Wokoma has faced criticism from Nigerians over the outfit she wore to the funeral of fellow actor Junior Pope.

Pope and four crew members tragically died in a boat accident on the Niger River while filming a movie.

Wokoma attended the funeral in a short black dress, sheer stockings, and black heels.

Social media users quickly condemned her attire as inappropriate for the occasion. Many expressed that her outfit was more suited for a party than a funeral.

One follower commented that if people truly cared about Pope, they wouldn’t have bothered dressing up for the funeral, especially given the tragic circumstances.

Another person questioned if she was attending a club instead of a funeral, highlighting the perceived inappropriateness of her attire.

In response to the criticism, Wokoma used some harsh words against her critics. The funeral of Junior Pope began with a candlelight procession a few days earlier.

The final rites were held on Friday, May 17, 2024, in his hometown of Ukehe, in Nsukka, Igboetiti LGA of Enugu State.
