The suspect, Afa Abdul Rahman Madaha, stands accused of the murder of two children who recently went missing in Tamale.

The unsettling discovery began when residents found the bodies of the missing children inside an abandoned vehicle at the suspect’s residence, fueling suspicions of ritualistic practices. In response, locals set fire to the suspect’s house.

Confirming the incident, Hafiz Andani, the Assemblyman for Kakpayili Electoral Area, recounted that twin boys and their friend had visited Madaha’s house, but only one of the twins returned home.

Concerned, the mother of the missing boys questioned her son, who disclosed that his brother and their friend remained at the suspect’s residence.

Upon the boys’ prolonged absence, the mother raised an alarm. Despite initial denials from Madaha about their whereabouts, an informant later revealed that the children were indeed in his custody.

Angered residents subsequently apprehended Madaha and took him to the chief’s palace, where they threatened him with violence.

Police intervention prevented further harm to Madaha, who was subsequently arrested. Further investigations uncovered body parts of the victims within an abandoned vehicle on the suspect’s property.

Authorities have taken Madaha into custody and transferred the victims’ remains to the Tamale Teaching Hospital mortuary for preservation, pending ongoing investigations into this disturbing incident.
