Former Minister for Science and Environment, Professor Frimpong Boateng, has expressed skepticism regarding President Akufo-Addo’s claim of victory in the fight against corruption in Ghana.

Professor Frimpong Boateng highlighted the pervasive nature of corruption in Ghanaian society, citing instances of bribery within political parties.
He emphasized the need for a serious approach to combating corruption, stating, “Corruption is the biggest challenge that we face. It is the denominator in everything that we do.”
Professor Frimpong Boateng argued that President Akufo-Addo’s government cannot claim to have successfully tackled corruption, as the fight against it has not yet begun in earnest.

Furthermore, Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe, a founding member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), also criticized President Akufo-Addo’s administration, asserting that it has been the most corrupt in Ghana’s history.
Dr. Nyaho-Tamakloe expressed disappointment with the President’s performance, highlighting a stark contrast between his promises to eradicate corruption during his campaign and the reality of his administration’s track record since assuming power in 2017.
He emphasized the need for meaningful action to address corruption effectively.
