Prof. Naana Opoku-Agyeman Reassures John Mahama That She Won’t Just Be His ‘Driver’s Mate’

Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, who is partnering with John Dramani Mahama for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has promised that she will stand by him through thick and thin.

During her introduction in Accra, she committed to sharing in the party’s victories and also to facing any challenges together.

She expressed her dedication to the cause, emphasizing that she won’t distance herself from responsibilities by claiming to have played a minor role. At her unveiling, the former Education Minister spoke about the importance of the election.

Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang highlighted that it’s not just about winning power but also about building a hopeful and confident Ghana. She envisions a self-sufficient Ghana where laws are effective, prosperity is shared, democracy is stable, people are treated fairly, and everyone has access to life’s essentials.

On the other hand, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia shared his vision for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), mentioning that his role as a ‘driver’s mate’ limited his ability to address certain government challenges.
