Princess Blanding is an educator and community activist who has worked on legislation with members of the Virginia General Assembly.

Blanding graduated from Morgan State University with a bachelor’s degree in biology. Blanding also earned a master’s degree in K-12 education and supervision, and an education specialist degree in educational leadership.
Blanding is a single LGBTQIA+ mother based in the Middle Peninsula with roots in the rural working class.

Blanding’s brother, Marcus-David Peters, was killed by a Richmond Police officer. Marcus was unarmed, undressed, and experiencing a mental health crisis On May 14, 2018. As a result, Blanding founded Justice and Reformation. It is a leading advocacy organization for mental health care, public safety, and the protection of the most vulnerable communities from police violence.

Blanding is not married. She is a single LGBTQIA+ mother. Princess Blanding has three daughters, namely Zakaria, Tionna, and Leah but information about their father has not been made public.
