Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, has committed suicide in his London home on Monday evening, a statement from the Palace has said.
According to the statement, Prince Andrew, who was the third child and second son of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip “hanged himself in his bathroom” and did not leave a note behind.
The Palace added that they are in difficult times and pleaded for their privacy to be respected as they mourn “the lost royal”.
The Royal Family placed Prince Andrew under suicide watch in August 2019 when he was “under pressure”.
This incident comes just when Pitch@Palace, a Dragons’ Den-type mentoring network set up by Prince Andrew himself, distanced itself from the royal founder by removing his name from its website.
A new witness came forward not long ago to corroborate claims that Prince Andrew danced with Virginia Giuffre at Tramp nightclub.
Alleged victim Mrs Giuffre says she was forced by billionaire paedophile Jeffrey Epstein to have sex with the Duke of York after a night out at the club in March 2001. The royal vehemently denied all allegations, telling journalist Emily Maitlis he didn’t recall meeting her.
