Launched in 2019 after the breakup of his group Psquare, Rude Boy’s label has faced challenges, including his recent disputes with his twin brother and former bandmate, Peter Okoye.
During an Instagram Live session, Rude Boy explained that some artists who achieve fame develop a sense of self-importance and believe they no longer need a record label.
To prevent such issues, he has outlined specific requirements for potential signees. These include providing guarantees like owning property and having their parents co-sign a contract.

Additionally, Rude Boy has imposed a significant penalty for any artist caught smoking, stating they would be fined N10 million.
He emphasized that these conditions are non-negotiable, which is why he often responds uncertainly when asked about signing new artists.
This revelation has sparked various kinds of reactions from netizens who think he is going overboard lately.
