The Melbourne native Booker was a former shop assistant and flight attendant.

She came into the spotlight through her marriage with the business mogul.

Patricia Booker and Rupert Murdoch tied the knot in 1956 in Australia.

However, the pair divorced in 1967, after eleven years of marriage.

Patricia’s ex-husband Rupert Murdoch AC KCSG is an Australian-American business tycoon. He owns several publishing outlets including in the UK (The Sun and The Times), in Australia (The Daily Telegraph, Herald Sun, and The Australian), in the US (The Wall Street Journal and the New York Post), book publisher HarperCollins, and the television broadcasting channels Sky News Australia and Fox News (through the Fox Corporation).

Patricia Booker and Rupert Murdoch had one child, a daughter named Prudence Murdoch MacLeod.

Prudence MacLeod was appointed to the board of Times Newspapers Ltd, part of News International, which publishes The Times and The Sunday Times on January 28, 2011.
