According to Ugezu, inviting guests to a party in Africa means providing for them without expecting payment.
He pointed out that these foreign practices are not suitable for African culture, where spiritual blessings are tied to the act of giving without expecting anything in return.
Ugezu urged people to be mindful of the customs they choose to adopt and to remember the cultural importance of hospitality in Africa.
He concluded by stressing that asking guests to pay at a party is not acceptable in African traditions.
