Osei Assibey Antwi, the Executive Director of the National Service Scheme, expressed optimism about the bill’s passage and its potential impact during a recent media briefing in Accra.

Antwi highlighted that the new authority will not only streamline national service placements but also foster entrepreneurship among the youth, thus reducing reliance on government funding.
“With the autonomy granted by this bill, we aim to create more avenues for youth employment and internal revenue generation, easing the fiscal burden on the central government,” he emphasized.
The primary objective of the National Service Authority is to mobilize and deploy qualified individuals to critical sectors identified for national priority and development initiatives.
