Michelle Obama, the former First Lady of the United States of America, has expressed her disappointment in the incumbent President Donald Trump.

According to Mrs Obama, her husband did the right thing by aiding a  peaceful transition to the then President elect Donald Trump in what she described as a “respectful, seamless transition of power.” She added that her family was deeply disappointed when Hillary Clinton lost the 2016 election to Donald Trump. However, They transferred power to him in the interest of the country. This according to her is “one of the hallmarks of American democracy.”

She pointed out the fact that Barack Obama called President Trump to congratulate him on his win of the election but the latter has failed to do the same for Joe Biden. It appears that she has had it to the neck with Trump continuing to block a peaceful transition of power to Joe Biden. According to her, “This isn’t a game,”

In her full statement of outrage, Mrs Obama went ahead to slam President Trump for selfishly making this about himself. She wrote,

“our democracy is so much bigger than anybody’s ego. Our love of country requires us to respect the results of an election even when we don’t like them or wish it had gone differently—the presidency doesn’t belong to any one individual or any one party.”

She described Trump’s claims of electoral fraud as “groundless conspiracy theories,” and called on the leaders of the nation to take the necessary actions to ensure a smooth transition of power from President Donald Trump to the President-Elect Joe Biden. This according to her is necessary because the democracy of America is being endangered by President Trump and hence he needs to be stopped.
