Barcelona announced on Friday night that Romeu would depart their US tour to resolve his future, stating: “Men’s first team squad member Oriol Romeu has left the team base in Annapolis as he looks to resolve his future.”
Oriol Romeu is set to return to Girona on an initial loan and will undergo medical tests this weekend.
Girona, preparing for their first-ever UEFA Champions League campaign, aims to strengthen their squad. Romeu’s return adds valuable experience, including a Champions League winners’ medal from his time at Chelsea.
