Renowned Hiplife artiste, Okyeame Kwame, has set his sights on clinching the prestigious Artiste of the Year award at the upcoming Ghana Music Awards, marking his second win in the category.

Having previously secured the accolade 15 years ago in 2009, the rapper, now in his late 40s, remains undeterred in his pursuit of musical excellence. With a career spanning 26 years, Okyeame Kwame boasts of a wide range of awards and accolades to his name, recognising his status as a stalwart in the Ghanaian music scene.

Despite his longstanding tenure in the industry, Okyeame Kwame continues to demonstrate unwavering dedication and passion for his craft. His recent release, ‘Insha Allah,’ featuring King Paluta, has garnered significant attention, earning him a nomination in this year’s Telecel Ghana Music Awards.
“It feels really great to be nominated even in my 26th year in music and that tells me that people appreciate what I’m doing. That is not to say that I would have been bothered if I missed out but it encourages me to do more”. He said.
