Ghanaian rapper Obibini has reignited his rivalry with fellow artist Amerado, suggesting that Amerado’s recent focus on singing indicates his lack of proficiency in rap.

Obibini, known for his previous diss tracks aimed at Amerado, expressed his thoughts in an interview with Amansan Krakye.
He sarcastically remarked that he’s pleased Amerado has recognized that rap is not his strong suit.
“When I say my stuff and I go, I don’t really focus on things like that, but I remember I was asked in an interview about being consistent as a rapper and rap music. And I said that I’ve realized that Amerado has found his field that he’s really good at, and I’m glad for him, so he should keep on,” Obibini said.

He continued, “It’s also good that he has realized that singing is his strength, so he must leave the rap to Obibini for me to do it, and then he’ll concentrate on this side.”
Obibini emphasized that his comments were meant to commend Amerado for finding his niche, contrary to other interpretations circulating in the media.
Amerado, who won the 2023 Best Rap Performance at the Ghana Music Awards, released “Kwaku Ananse” last year and subsequently won the Best Highlife Song in 2024.
