Michail Antonio, who initially joined Nottingham Forest from Sheffield Wednesday for £2.5 million in 2014, made a significant impact during his time at the club, scoring 15 goals and providing 14 assists in the 2014/2015 season.

Financial difficulties forced Nottingham Forest to sell Antonio to West Ham for £7.5 million the following year.

Since then, Antonio has become a crucial player for the Hammers, scoring 67 Premier League goals, the highest in the club’s Premier League history.

Last season, Michail Antonio netted six goals and recorded two assists, helping West Ham recover from a poor start to finish ninth.

With new plans under Julen Lopetegui, Michail Antonio seems not to fit into West Ham’s future strategy.

Nottingham Forest faces competition for Antonio’s signature, as clubs from the United States and RB Leipzig are also reportedly interested.
