North-side shooting: Three dead, one in critical condition

Milwaukee police are looking into a triple homicide and double shooting that occurred on the city’s north side on Thursday 7th October 2021.

According to police, the shooting happened around 9:35 p.m. in the 1500 block of N. 8th Street.

Three people were killed: a 36-year-old man, a 30-year-old man, and a 19-year-old woman.

As of early Friday morning 8th October 2021, a 19-year-old man was in critical condition.

Three guns were recovered at the scene, according to police. The police are still looking for unidentified suspects.

The shooting occurred shortly after six people were injured in an incident in the 2400 block of N. 37th Street involving an officer and a suspect in a shootout.

Around 8 p.m., two officers were investigating a property damage report on Milwaukee’s north side. Officers responded after hearing gunshots nearby during their investigation. According to police, they discovered an armed suspect and one officer exchanged gunfire with the individual before the suspect fled.

Officers discovered four people with gunshot wounds in a nearby house. The victims have been identified as an 18-year-old girl, a 25-year-old girl, a 65-year-old man, and a 19-year-old man. The victims were all taken to the hospital. Their current conditions are unknown.

About 30 minutes later, a 25-year-old man suspected of being involved in the shooting arrived at a hospital with gunshot wounds.
