Lawrence Samuel Storch was born on January 8, 1923, in New York, New York, the United States to Alfred Storch, a realtor, and his wife, Sally Kupperman Storch, a telephone operator.

Larry Storch had a younger brother, Jay who was an actor/voiceover performer under the name Jay Lawrence. He attended DeWitt Clinton High School, however, he never graduated from high school.

Larry Storch worked as a stand-up comic for a $12 a week opening for bandleader Al Donahue in Sheepshead Bay. He served in the United States Navy during World War II.

Larry Storch was recognized for his excellent voice-over work for cartoon shows such as Mr Whoopee on Tennessee Tuxedo and His Tales, as well as his live-action role of the bumbling Corporal Randolph Agarn on F Troop.

Larry Storch had married actress Norma Catherine Greve on July 10, 1961, and remained married until her death at age 81 on August 28, 2003. Larry is the father of a stepson named Lary May; a daughter, Candace Herman, and a stepdaughter, June Cross.
