Legendary Nollywood actor Amaechi Muonagor was laid to rest on Friday, June 21, 2024, in his hometown of Ugamuma village, Obosi, Anambra State. Renowned actor Amaechi Muonagor, passed away on March 24, 2024, after complications from dialysis and kidney failure.

The funeral was attended by prominent figures from the entertainment industry and politics, including Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate for the Labour Party.
Obi expressed deep sorrow over Muonagor’s passing and offered condolences to the grieving family, urging them to find solace in God.

Other notable attendees included Dom Onyenji, the State Commissioner for Culture, Tourism, and Entertainment, as well as representatives from the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), such as Emeka Rollas, the National President, and Chinyere Anyaegbunam, the AGN State Chairman.
