The Nigeria national football team is nicknamed Super Eagles. It is governed by the Nigerian Football Federation(NFF). They are a three-time African Cup of Nations winners with their most recent title won in 2013. The Super Eagles were ranked 5th in the FIFA rankings in 1994 which is the highest FIFA ranking position ever achieved by an African Football team.

Friendly Match Fixtures
Nigeria has played two friendly matches this year.
On 9th October 2020, Nigeria locked horns with Algeria in a friendly match at the Abuja-Moshood Abiola National Stadium. The game ended on a 1-0 note against Nigeria. The only goal in the game was scored by Ramy Benesebaini.
Nigeria’s second friendly match of the year was with Tunisia. The game ended on a 1-1 note.
Nigeria’s Kelechi Iheanacho scored the opening goal on the 21st minute and on the 44th minute, Tunisia’s Mohammed Drager bounced back with a goal for the team.
Kelechi Ibeanacho, however, missed a penalty on the 30th minute.
