In a press release issued on Wednesday, the staff expressed gratitude towards stakeholders such as the Minister for National Security and the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission (FWSC), among others, for their involvement.
They highlighted concerns over their working conditions and stalled negotiations on allowances.
The FWSC reassured them of their commitment to fair negotiations in future discussions.
However, the staff emphasized that their decision to return to work hinges on the outcome of negotiations scheduled for Friday, June 14, 2024.

They warned that failure by the government to address their demands for Institution Specific Allowances could reignite their industrial action.
In urging their colleagues to resume work on Thursday, June 13, the NIA staff emphasized the importance of professionalism in service delivery.
This decision comes after earlier postponements of strike actions, with frustrations mounting over delayed negotiations and the impact on service delivery across all NIA offices.
While hopeful for a positive resolution, the staff called on the FWSC and other stakeholders to prioritize industrial harmony in their deliberations.
Applicants and stakeholders affected by the strike have endured disruptions, with services halted at district, regional, and premium centres since Monday.
