The demand for an independent probe stems from the NDC’s belief that without a thorough examination of the matter, the integrity of the upcoming 2024 elections could be compromised. The recent statement by the Electoral Commission, confirming the interdiction of three officials in connection with the missing BVRs, has further intensified calls for transparency and accountability in the electoral process.
