Nathan Joseph Hochman is an American attorney who is running for Los Angeles County District Attorney. In 2008, Hochman was the Assistant Attorney General for the Tax Division of the United States Department of Justice.

President George W. Bush selected Hochman as United States Assistant Attorney General, where he oversaw the Department of Justice’s Tax Division. The US Senate unanimously approved him on December 19, 2007.

Hochman, as an Ethics Commissioner, led a plan to provide monetary incentives to increase voter turnout in special elections in Los Angeles. He was president of the commission in 2014.
