“My Parents Prayed For Excellent Children, Not Cars And Houses” – Burna Boy Says As He Receives His Grammy Plaque

Singer, Burna Boy, has received delivery of the plaque for his Grammy win today.

He took to his Instagram page this morning to announce the arrival of the Grammy plaque.

The self-acclaimed ‘African Giant’, shared his excitement for receiving the plaque and praised his parents for their sacrifice.

He stated that his parents did not pray for houses or cars, or things but rather, they prayed for excellent children.

He shared that, his parents asked his two sisters for “stellar degrees” and one got a first class in Finance and the other got distinction in Engineering.

He said, they asked him for a Grammy and ” here we are.” “I am a product of sacrifice!“, he added.

Burna shared some photos posed with his plaque and a video of him feeling super excited. “Early morning deliveries from across the pond!” he wrote.

Burna Boy won the award for the “Best Global Music Album” for his album, “Twice as Tall” at the ceremony premiere of the 63rd Grammy award in March this year.
