My Husband’s Role as Shepherd Nearly Ruined Our Marriage – Bidemi Kosoko

Nollywood actress Bidemi Kosoko recently shared how her marriage faced challenges due to her husband’s religious calling.

In an interview with fellow actress Biola Adebayo on YouTube, Bidemi explained that she never envisioned herself as a pastor’s wife.

When she married her husband, he wasn’t yet a shepherd, and the unexpected role of being a pastor’s wife almost strained their relationship.

Bidemi admitted that while she married at the age of 32, she had always hoped to marry earlier, around 25 or 26, and have her children by 32. The sudden shift in her husband’s life path created tension because it wasn’t a role she was ready to embrace.

Bidemi also opened up about losing her mother at a young age and how it impacted her upbringing. She lost her mother at the age of six, which made navigating puberty difficult.

When she started menstruating, she kept it to herself, not because of financial constraints but because she didn’t feel comfortable speaking up.

She reflected on how her mother’s absence made growing up challenging but expressed gratitude for her father’s support.

Bidemi also shared that her name, Abidemi, reflects her father’s absence when she was born, as he was in London at the time.
