Mr Ibu’s Daughter Recounts Meeting Father for the First Time on His Sick Bed

Okafor Amarachi, the eldest daughter of the late Nollywood icon Mr Ibu, has shared her experience of meeting her father for the first time just before his passing.

At his funeral, Amarachi revealed the heart-wrenching truth that she had never interacted with her father until she visited him in the hospital during his illness.

She expressed deep sorrow that their relationship never blossomed beyond that brief moment, lamenting that her only memory of him would be seeing him on his deathbed.

“I’m his first daughter and we had a lot of moments together but I didn’t get to meet him until he was sick in the hospital and that was the first and last time we got to see each other. That’s the only thing I can tell you about our relationship,” she shared.

Reflecting on the experience of meeting him under such circumstances, Amarachi described it as frustrating and not something she enjoys discussing.

She acknowledged the pain of missing out on a longer father-daughter relationship, expressing her sadness over the situation.
