Mr. Ibu, whose real name is John Ikechukwu Okafor, is a popular Nigerian actor known for his comedic roles in Nollywood movies. He has had a successful career spanning over two decades and is recognized for his talent in comic acting.

Mr. Ibu has been married twice, with his current wife being Stella Marris, and he has a total of 14 children, both biological and adopted. His children include Chelsea Okafor, Emmanuel Mandela Okafor, and JayJay Okafor.

Recently, Mr. Ibu faced health challenges that led to the amputation of one of his legs in November 2023.

Following this, there were reports of financial mismanagement related to funds raised for his medical expenses, involving his son Daniel Okafor and adopted daughter Jasmine Chioma.

Tragically, Mr. Ibu passed away at the age of 62 due to cardiac arrest after being rushed to the Intensive Care Unit at Evercare Hospital in Lagos. His death was confirmed by a close associate of the family and the President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Emeka Rolla.
