Salisu, who currently plays for AS Monaco, shared photos on Instagram of himself standing in front of the Kaaba, the holy stone at the center of the Masjid al-Haram in Mecca.

Completing the pilgrimage, known as Hajj, has earned Salisu the honorary title of Alhaji, a title given to Muslims who have undertaken this sacred journey.

This milestone for Salisu comes after a successful season with Ghana’s national team, where he played in two crucial wins during the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. Following the conclusion of the 2023/2024 football season, Salisu is currently on holiday.

In addition to his achievements with the Black Stars, Salisu will also participate in the UEFA Champions League after helping AS Monaco secure second place in the recently ended Ligue 1 season.
