Abdul Mumuni, the son of the late Chief Moshood “MKO” Abiola, has revealed that DNA tests have shown the true number of his father’s biological children.

According to Mumuni, the tests determined that only 55 of the 103 children under MKO Abiola’s care were biologically his.
In an interview on the “Mic On Podcast,” Mumuni addressed rumors that his father had forty marriages and 103 children.
He clarified that while MKO Abiola did care for 103 children and funded their education, the DNA tests confirmed that only 55 of them were his biological offspring.

Mumuni also provided insight into the family dynamics, stating, “People think we are a lot, but we are only 55.
My father had about forty wives according to his will, though not all of them were present at the end. Most of the wives had maybe one or two children with my dad.”
He emphasized that many people misunderstood MKO Abiola’s generosity, assuming he had fun while in reality, he was supporting the education of numerous children. This revelation offers a clearer picture of MKO Abiola’s family and legacy.
