Mike Williams Cause of Death

Michael Anthony Williams, an American football wide receiver died at the age of 36 from injuries he suffered in a tragic accident on a construction site on September 5 2023.

He suffered major injuries on the job when a steel beam landed on his head, paralysing him in his right arm and from the waist down.

Mike Williams was admitted to the hospital on September 1, 2023, after experiencing breathing difficulties and losing consciousness.

He attended Syracuse University and played football there. Williams was named to the Big East second team as a sophomore in 2007.

Mike Williams concluded the season with 60 receptions for 837 yards and ten touchdowns, tying a school record.

He was selected in the fourth round of the 2010 NFL Draught by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He made his NFL debut on September 12, 2010, against the Cleveland Browns, recording 5 receptions for 30 yards and a score.

Williams became the first Buccaneer rookie since Carnell Williams in 2005 to score a touchdown in back-to-back games in his debut pro season. He’s also had stints with the Buffalo Bills and the Kansas City Chiefs.
