The American retired professional football player Mike Alstott played as a fullback in the National Football League for 12 seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Alstott completed Joliet Catholic Academy high school, where he played high school football.
He then played collegiate football for Purdue University from 1992 to 1995, where he emerged as the first player in school history named MVP in three consecutive seasons.

Alstott was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the second round with 35th overall
of the 1996 NFL Draft. He went on to spend his entire 12-year NFL career with that franchise from 1996 to 2007.
Alstott had 1,359 carries for 5,088 yards, 305 catches for 2,284 yards, and scored 71 touchdowns. He was selected to play in 6 Pro Bowls and won 1 championship.
Alstott was inducted into Purdue Intercollegiate Athletics Hall of Fame in 2006, and the Buccaneers’ Ring of Honor at Raymond James Stadium on October 4, 2015.
