The British politician Michelle Donelan has served as Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport since September 2022.
Michelle Donelan was born on April 8, 1984. She grew up in Whitley, Cheshire, and in 1999 at the age of 15 spoke at the Conservative Party Conference in Blackpool, having decided to be a politician at the age of six.
She was educated at The County High School, Leftwich, and was awarded a bachelor’s degree in history and politics from the University of York. During her undergraduate study, she was involved in York Student Television.

Prior to the 2015 election, Donelan’s career outside politics was in marketing, including a time working for Marie Claire magazine and World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).
A member of the Conservative Party, she has been a Member of Parliament (MP) for Chippenham in Wiltshire since 2015.
She also served as Minister of State for Higher and Further Education from 2020 to 2022, and Secretary of State for Education for two days during the July 2022 UK government crisis.
