Born Michael Andrew Fox to Phyllis and William Fox on June 9, 1961, he is professionally known as Michael J. Fox. He was born in Edmonton, Canada to an actress and a police office. Due to his father’s career, they lived in various cities and finally settled at Burnaby, a suburb of Vancouver, British Columbia in 1975 when his father retired. Fox is 59 years of age and 1.63 meters tall. Fox attended Burnaby Central Secondary School. His acting career began at the age of fifteen when he starred in the television series ‘Leo and Me.’

Michael’s first feature films were ‘Midnight Madness’ and ‘Class of 1984’ in 1980 and 1982 respectively. After, he played Alex P. Keaton on the show ‘Family Ties,’ which won him three Emmy awards in 1986, 1987, and 1988. Also, he won a Golden Globe award in 1989. He became a teen idol (large teenage fan base) after acting in Teen Wolf and Back to the Future; which was a huge success, earning a total of about $381 million. Few years later, two sequels followed. Fox also starred in Light of Day (1987), The Secret of my Success (1987), Casualties of War (1989) among others.
However, Michael’s career was cut short after being diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 1991, but made it public in 1999.
