Anthony Ammirati, born on July 16, 2003, is a French pole vaulter who gained significant attention not just for his athletic prowess but also for an unfortunate moment at the Paris Olympics.

Ammirati’s career began to take shape in June 2021 when he set a new national under-20 pole vault record with a jump of 5.72 meters in Salon-de-Provence.
His success continued as he won the gold medal at the U20 European Championships in Tallinn the following month with a jump of 5.64 meters.
At the U20 World Championships in Cali, Ammirati showcased his talent by securing the world champion title with a jump of 5.65 meters on his second attempt.
His performances improved further as he set a new personal best of 5.75 meters. On August 31, 2022, he broke the French junior pole vault record for the third time, achieving a height of 5.81 meters in Sankt-Wendel.

This jump placed him as the second-best performer in the category’s history, trailing only behind Armand Duplantis, who vaulted 6.05 meters in 2018.

While attempting his pole vault, Ammirati inadvertently knocked down the crossbar with his penis, an occurrence that led to his elimination from the finals. The incident quickly went viral, becoming a subject of widespread online jokes and memes.
