Medikal, also called AMG Medikal, born Samuel Adu Frimpong, is a Ghanaian songwriter, rapper and hip-hop musician.

Medikal, born 4 April 1993, is the son of James Frimpong and Portia Lamptey. He had his high school education at Odorgonno Senior High.
He adopted the name Medikal because he was fascinated with rapping about doctors, surgeons, medical practitioners, and hospitals in general.
AMG Medikal has made a name for himself in the music industry through hard work and his numerous collaboration with successful artists like Sarkodie of Sarkcess Music, Stonebwoy of BMG and Shatta Wale of SM Empire.
Apart from his numerous nominations in 2017, he won the best discovery video in the MTN 4Syte Video Award in 2016.
The rapper married Precious Fella Makafui on the 7th of March, 2020 in a grand wedding that was attended by most Ghanaian celebrities.

The couple have a child, they named her Island which is the reason behind his 2020 album.
