In a candid interview on The Delay Show, Ampaw shared that he fathered two sets of twins with different women, in addition to three other children from separate relationships.

He explained that these children came into his life during his previous marriage and after the passing of his late wife in February 2021.

“When my wife passed away, I realized my twins needed a mother’s care, as they were neglected by extended family. Celestina came into the picture, and I decided to marry her,” Ampaw stated during the interview.

He expressed pride in his ability to father children with multiple women, emphasizing that each relationship was entered into responsibly and with good intentions.

“I’m not reckless; I’m being responsible. I had good intentions for every woman I had a baby with,” Ampaw asserted, addressing any perceptions of irresponsibility.

Regarding his marriage to Celestina, Ampaw clarified that while his children’s needs played a role, it was not the sole reason for their union. He described Celestina as a long-time friend who had supported him for years before they decided to marry.

“Celestina and I have been friends for over seven years. She cared for me whenever I visited Kumasi, where she lived,” Ampaw revealed. “We developed a bond over time, and after my wife’s death, marrying her felt like a natural progression.”
