Maura Higgins is an American model and influencer who made a name for herself when she debuted on the ITV reality show love island in 2019. The 30-year-old had become so obsessed with exercising it became deleterious to her.

She had eventually lost so much weight, her family begun to raise concerns. “It got to a stage where it was actually affecting my periods; I lost my period for four months. Especially at my age, it’s obviously not good. I want to have kids someday so I know that’s just not a good thing to happen. I remember even Chris was saying to me ‘Maura, that’s just not good, we need to sort this out I was like ‘yeah, I know”. She reveals in an interview with Mailonline
“When you have good people around you, Mammy as well, she noticed, she said ‘you’ve got too thin’ or whatever and I was like ‘yeah, yeah, yeah I know, I’m trying to sort it out.” She added. She also explained how eager she was to curd her problem as she would want to have children in the future. “I’m so excited to have a baby someday. It’s still one of my biggest fears, childbirth, but I’ll definitely, definitely want a baby someday.” She said.
Maura and Chris Taylor were reportedly in a relationship after she finally admitted it in an Instagram post Captioned “he is mine”. The pair met on the set of the ‘Love Island’ reality show but Maura insisted they weren’t dating.
“Obviously there was a lot of press about us for so long but we were genuinely just friends, nothing had ever happened – we hadn’t even kissed. I started going on dates again and everything. Chris and I never believed it would progress into something more than just a friendship. But now looking at it, friendship is a good foundation to a relationship and it just seems to work”, Maura told Mailonline.
In February the pair celebrated their first valentines day together where Chris surprised Maura with a romantic diner.
