Born on April 26, 1977, in Rikuzentakata, Iwate, Japan, and raised in Buckfield, Maine, Musashi attended Dartmouth College (Class of 1999), majoring in East Asian Languages and Literatures and minoring in Drama.
He relocated to Japan after graduating from college, and after appearing in a women’s underwear advertisement there, AAC Stunts quickly enlisted his services.

Since then, he has appeared as a regular and/or a stunt performer in a number of tokusatsu programs.

Musashi is most known for playing the enigmatic murderer Piece in the live-action drama Sh15uya. He also appeared in Cutie Honey: The Live as Duke Seiya Anthony Watari IV, a bilingual man working for Panther Claw.
He has taken part in numerous Wushu competitions and has performed motion capture for a number of video games.
In order to look for acting and stunt chances there, he moved to Los Angeles in 2008.
Since then, he has primarily performed stunts in movies, television shows, and video games, with sporadic speaking roles.
He was hired in 2022 to play Hansel, a High Table assassin, in the miniseries The Continental: From the World of John Wick, which will air on Peacock in 2023.
