Erik ten Hag has identified the 22-year-old as a top target. Despite this increased offer, Everton are expected to reject it, as they previously turned down an opening bid of £35 million and are holding out for closer to £70 million.
Jarrad Branthwaite has already agreed on personal terms with United. However, the Red Devils face a challenge with Everton’s high valuation.

Manchester United manager Ten Hag is seeking defensive reinforcements following Raphael Varane’s departure at the end of his contract.
Minority owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe is determined to avoid overpaying for players, a strategy aimed at correcting past spending habits.
Jarrad Branthwaite had a solid season with Everton, earning a call-up to Gareth Southgate’s provisional England squad, although he narrowly missed out on a place at Euro 2024.
