Three-time UEFA Champions League winners Manchester United are reportedly considering a deadline day move for Brentford’s Ivan Toney, but no approach is currently planned, according to emerging reports.

Despite signing Joshua Zirkzee and having Rasmus Højlund in their squad, Manchester United might wait until the final day of the transfer window to decide on Ivan Toney.

Ivan Toney was left out of Brentford’s opening Premier League win against Crystal Palace on Sunday, August 18, and that has sparked rumours of his potential exit from the team.

Toney has attracted interest from several clubs, including Saudi side Al-Ahli, who had a £35 million bid rejected. His contract has just a year left, which could lead to a discounted deal if clubs wait until the window’s end.
Looking at Manchester United’s current striker options, including Marcus Rashford, might mean Toney isn’t an immediate priority and they might not go for him.
