“This is a male-dominated industry where women are mostly overlooked,” Shay lamented. “We actually get rejection from our male counterparts when we really want to have a featuring.”

Despite these hurdles, Shay remains committed to supporting emerging female talents, using her platform to showcase their work and provide encouragement. However, she expressed a desire to do more, acknowledging the financial constraints that limit her efforts.

In light of her experiences, Shay offered advice to aspiring female artists, urging them to focus on developing their skills and adding value to themselves.

By empowering women to build their potentials, Shay hopes to foster a more inclusive and equitable music industry where talent and merit reign supreme.
