NBA legend Magic Johnson quickly congratulated sprinter Noah Lyles after his thrilling win in the 100 meters at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Noah Lyles became the first American to win the event since Justin Gatlin in 2004, clocking in at 9.79 seconds. In a photo finish, Lyles edged out Jamaica’s Kishane Thompson, with Fred Kerley taking bronze.
Magic Johnson, a Hall of Famer, immediately took to social media to celebrate Lyles’ achievement.

On X, he posted, “We’re all on the yacht cheering for Noah Lyles winning the Men’s 100M race and remaining the fastest man in the world! It’s the first time in 20 years that the US brings home the gold in the Men’s 100! Wow – what an exciting race!!”
Former Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade also joined the celebration, using it to support men wearing nail polish, writing on X, “And he got his nails painted. Say something.”
Noah Lyles has made the United States of America very proud.
