The 20-year-old initially joined Lyon on loan from Belgian side RWD Molenbeek, where he made a significant impact by featuring in 33 matches, scoring three goals, and providing two assists.
His contributions were pivotal as Lyon climbed from a relegation-threatened position to secure a place in the UEFA Europa Conference League after finishing sixth in Ligue 1.
Impressed by Nuamah’s performance, Lyon opted to secure his services permanently, offering him a four-year contract.

This move places Nuamah in the company of notable Ghanaian footballers like Abedi Ayew Pele, Michael Essien, and John Mensah, who have all played for Lyon in the past.
Abedi Pele notably joined Lyon after a successful stint at Olympique Marseille, while Essien and Mensah also left lasting impressions during their time with the French club.
Nuamah, who has already represented Ghana at the international level, featured prominently in recent World Cup qualifiers, contributing to his nation’s victories over Mali and the Central African Republic.
With his future now anchored at Lyon, Nuamah aims to build on his promising start in French football and continue his development as a key player for both club and country.
