Lydia Forson Heartbroken, Says The Citizens and Leaders Have Failed the Country

Renowned actress Lydia Forson has expressed her disappointment with the poor leadership in Ghana, stating that citizens also share the blame for the country’s problems.

During an interview, Forson emphasized that Ghanaians are not holding political leaders accountable enough, allowing them to neglect their responsibilities.

Forson stressed that if both politicians and citizens practiced the good values they advocate, the country would be free from corruption, economic struggles, and other issues.

She remarked that both leaders and citizens have failed each other, saying, “If we truly lived by what we preach, things would be better. It’s our responsibility and the leaders’ too, and we have all failed.”

Despite her criticisms, Forson acknowledged that Ghanaians are making efforts to demand accountability from their leaders.

She noted that while significant progress has been made, more work is needed. She praised the young people in Ghana for their efforts, saying, “We have come a long way and I see many young people trying hard. It’s not easy, but they are fantastic. There’s still a lot more to do.”
