In a recent statement online, Allison responded to allegations made during Mona’s trial in the US and shed light on their relationship dynamics.
Allison recalled meeting Mona through a mutual friend while he was in America. He welcomed many fellow Ghanaians visiting for holidays and did not know about Mona’s reputation in Ghana.
They grew close as she confided in him about her life and ambitions. He admired her determination to leave behind her fast-paced lifestyle.
He shared that their relationship deepened during her visit to the States. Both had difficult pasts, including Allison’s arrest in 2010.
He firmly denied Mona’s claims that he lured her into romance scams, attributing their breakup to her promiscuous lifestyle.

“I have never been involved in romance fraud. Our relationship ended partly due to warnings about her lifestyle,” Allison explained.
He added that their relationship further deteriorated when Mona got involved with a musician friend of his, leading to their separation in November 2017.
Mona, who was recently sentenced to over a year in prison for a romance scam in the US, had accused Allison of coercing her into fraudulent activities and being abusive.
Allison maintained his innocence, emphasizing his wish to handle the matter privately for their daughter’s sake.
These revelations come amid growing public interest in Mona’s legal issues and personal life following her recent sentencing.
